The Resilient Flag of Hurricane Michael

The Resilient Flag of Hurricane Michael

The footprints left by Hurricane Michael were nothing short of complete destruction and devastation. Our little piece of paradise us locals refer to as shell Island bared the wrath. Shifting sand, changing the coastline, diminishing dunes and shredding the docks and boardwalks to an unrecognizable State. In the midst of desolation there stood the flag; ripped, shredded, weary, yet still standing. A sign of freedom from disturbance giving us a sense of Ataraxia, tranquility, hope and resilience.
